A number of changes are expected with this version for iOS 14 and iPadOS 14, some of which include location access permissions for widgets, a new onboarding screen for shortcuts, and a bug fix for AirPods Pro. Changes to the Home screen and app interface are also expected, with added elements to Maps, Siri’s interface, and the introduction of CarKey.
Users can check for the iOS 14 or iPadOS 14 by heading to Settings > General > Software Update. The fifth beta for iOS comes in heavy at almost 2GB, with the beta for iPadOS weighing even more at about 4GB. Apple’s tvOS 14 adds the Home app to the set-top box, makes adjustments to Apple Arcade, and updates Homekit Secure video. Users who would want to test out this beta version are advised to avoid installing the betas on primary devices, as there is a possibility of data loss. It is more advisable to install the version on secondary devices, and ensure that any important data has been properly backed up prior to installation. References
